An Australian electronic security business with a national footprint is seeking a Technical Operations Lead to run its production workshop in south-east Melbourne. The company specialises in rapid-deployment solar CCTV systems, temporary security units for construction sites, and fixed electronic security infrastructure. Based from the SE Melbourne facility, this role manages workshop assembly, coordinates technician schedules, oversees stock procurement, and ensures high-quality system configuration before field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily workshop operations, technician scheduling, and equipment preparation

Assemble, program, configure, and bench test solar-powered CCTV units and mobile security trailers

Configure IP cameras, network routers,



directional antennas, SIM connectivity, and video management software

Manage local warehouse inventory, stock levels, supplier orders, and job costing

Implement quality control checks and maintain protected work practices across all workshop activities

Provide technical leadership to workshop technicians and attend client sites occasionally for complex technical escalations

Ideal Background

Strong background in electronic security, IP CCTV, networking, and wireless communication systems

Proven experience supervising, mentoring, or leading technical team members

Practical knowledge of workshop coordination, stock management, and quality control processes

Valid Victorian Security Licence, Drivers Licence, White Card, and First Aid Certificate
