A dedicated and experienced part-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position in a psychology private practice in Lower Templestowe. The practice supports a broad range of clients, including adults, children, adolescents and their families. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a warm and approachable manner who wishes to contribute to a supportive working environment. The role requires working two days per week, specifically Friday (9-5pm) and Saturday (9-1pm). There may be opportunities for additional shifts to cover staff leave and the possibility of a third regular day.

Key responsibilities

Welcoming clients and conducting intake phone calls

Making client appointments and managing the diary

Liaising with clinicians and other health professionals

Filing and maintaining the reception and waiting area

Processing Medicare billing and collecting payments

Scanning and faxing documents

Providing feedback to the team to enhance administrative procedures

Assisting psychologists and the practice manager with additional tasks as needed

About you

At least one year of experience in a medical,



allied health, or similar administrative environment

Excellent customer service skills, with an understanding of client confidentiality

Ability to maintain a calm, sensitive, pleasant and respectful manner with a diverse range of people

Initiative to work independently, as well as being an effective team player

Strong organisational and administrative abilities

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Capacity to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure

Keen interest in improving service delivery performance

Excellent IT and computer skills, including a willingness to learn new systems

Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal
