About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, compliant and cost-effective distribution of LPG and Industrial Gas cylinders throughout the WA network.

The Cylinder Distribution Supervisor provides operational leadership to company drivers, distribution contractors and contractor drivers while ensuring branch stock availability, delivery performance, fleet compliance and customer service expectations are achieved. The position plays a critical role in promoting a robust safety culture, maintaining regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across distribution operations.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring all drivers complete daily pre-start and pre-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitoring inspection records and verifying that vehicle defects are identified, reported and addressed in a timely manner.
- Coordinating corrective actions and maintenance requirements to maintain fleet safety, compliance and reliability.
- Overseeing vehicle loading activities to ensure loads are correctly secured and distributed.
- Ensuring vehicle mass, load restraint and loading practices comply with applicable road transport legislation, Dangerous Goods requirements and company standards.
- Ensure all drivers and contractors maintain required licences, competencies, training and authorisations to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Coordinate branch distribution requirements and support the implementation and ongoing utilisation of the IBT system.
- Work closely with the Logistics Team to optimise delivery schedules,



maintain branch and dealer stock levels, and ensure service requirements are achieved.
- Lead and supervise company drivers, distribution contractors and contractor drivers to deliver safe, compliant and efficient cylinder distribution operations while achieving budget and operational performance targets.​
- Monitor fatigue-related risks and intervene where a driver is identified as fatigued or unfit for work.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of DRD operations and distribution requirements across the WA network.
- Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, safety communication and operational leadership
- Assist with cylinder scheduling as required

Qualifications/Experience

- Minimum 5 years' experience within LPG, Industrial Gas, Petroleum, Logistics or Transport operations, including experience in the supervision and coordination of distribution activities.
- Knowledge of the LPG and/or Industrial Gas industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of the Dangerous Goods Transport is advantageous
- Previous experience supervising staff, contractors or transport operations personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive, proactive and accountable team culture.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, Heavy Vehicle compliance and fatigue management requirements is desirable.
