Reports To: Dispatch Manager / Warehouse Supervisor
Position Overview The Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for the protected, accurate, and timely delivery of goods to customers. This role operates on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility with start times and routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to complete scheduled delivery runs
- Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately according to invoices and run sheets
- Conduct pre-start vehicle checks and report any faults or damage
- Secure loads correctly to prevent damage during transport
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers
- Obtain delivery confirmations/signatures where required
- Follow all road rules, company policies, and WH&S; procedures
- Communicate delays, incidents, or issues to the dispatch team promptly
Requirements & Skills
- Valid Australian Full Driver Licence (appropriate class for vehicle)
- Clean driving record
- Good knowledge of local delivery areas (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible rostered hours, including early starts
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Good communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing (if applicable)
- Forklift licence (LF) highly regarded but not essential
