About the role

Riverland Agri Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Renmark, SA. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of agricultural and industrial diesel-powered equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the machinery that keeps our agricultural operations running smoothly.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency across our fleet and client base.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and associated mechanical systems across agricultural, earthmoving and industrial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-ups and inspections to prevent breakdowns
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify equipment issues
- Execute repairs and rebuilds of engine components, fuel systems, cooling systems, hydraulic systems and drivetrain assemblies
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and maintenance work completed on all equipment
- Operate diagnostic equipment and tools safely and effectively to identify mechanical faults
- Communicate with clients regarding repairs and maintance
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with relevant regulations
- Keep the workshop organised and maintain tools and equipment in good working order

What we're looking for

- A recognised diesel mechanic qualification or apprenticeship completion in diesel mechanics or heavy vehicle servicing
- Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic technician, ideally within agricultural, earthmoving or industrial equipment sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine systems, fuel injection systems, hydraulics and power transmission
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment and computerised fault-finding systems
- The ability to read technical manuals,



engineering drawings and service specifications
- Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults independently
- A commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and team members
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour, and handle heavy components
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for on-site repairs when required
- Experience with specific equipment brands or manufacturers used in South Australian agricultural operations would be advantageous
