About the role

North Coast Construction Equipment (NCCE) is looking for a mechanic to join our Coffs Harbour team. This is a genuinely varied role working across tractors, excavators, loaders, construction equipment, vehicle-loading cranes and hydraulic systems. You'll work on everything from routine servicing through to complex diagnostics and major repairs, with a mix of workshop and field-service work.

Key responsibilities

- Mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Engine, drivetrain and major component repairs
- Electrical and electronic diagnostics
- Hydraulic fault finding and repairs
- Servicing and preventative maintenance
- Workshop and field-service work

About you

Ideally, you're a qualified Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant or Agricultural Mechanic who can confidently diagnose faults and complete repairs independently. For the top rate of $50/hr, we're looking for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults and consistently complete repairs to a high standard.

But you don't need to tick every box.

We're also interested in qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics with strong diagnostic and mechanical skills who want to make the move into construction and agricultural equipment.

Your starting rate will reflect your qualifications,



relevant experience and current capability, with the opportunity to progress as your skills and equipment knowledge develop.

North Coast Construction Equipment is part of Hydraulics Hot Line, an established Coffs Harbour business operating since 1992. We're an authorised Deutz-Fahr and KIOTI dealer, JCB service agent, and authorised PALFINGER and HIAB crane service centre, giving our technicians access to manufacturer diagnostic systems, technical information, support and training.

We're a small, experienced team where good technicians are trusted to get on with their work, with support available when a difficult job comes along.
