Childcare Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor

This is a full-time, off-the-floor leadership position within a well-established, modern, medium-to-large-sized boutique Early Learning service in Gosford - Central Coast Area. The Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor is supported by a 2IC and EL who provides hands-on leadership across the floor, allowing the Director to focus on people, compliance, families, quality, occupancy and overall centre performance.

About the role

The Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor is supported by a 2IC and EL who provides hands-on leadership across the floor, allowing the Director to focus on people, compliance, families, quality, occupancy and overall centre performance.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the overall operation, performance and culture of the centre, oversee daily centre operations, including staffing, ratios, budgets, and parent communication
n
- Ensure the service operates in compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations
n
- Maintain a robust child-safe culture and ensure high standards of supervision, health and safety
n
- Lead, support and develop the 2IC, Educational Leader, Room Leaders and educators
n
- Manage recruitment, induction, performance management, staff development and retention
n
- Oversee staffing levels, permanent rosters, qualifications and regulatory requirements
n




- Build strong, qualified relationships with children, families and the local community
n
- Monitor occupancy, enrolments, enquiries and centre tours, and actively support centre growth
n
- Lead the Quality Improvement Plan and maintain ongoing Assessment & Rating readiness
n

About you

n

This role suits a confident Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor who can take ownership of daily operations and lead a team effectively.

n

n
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Care
n
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred
n
- Experience as a Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor
n
- 3+ years' experience as a Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor is preferred
n
- Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and NQS
n
- Experience with Assessment & Rating and Quality Improvement Plans
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- Ability to build a stable and positive team environment
n
