Dream Nannies is seeking an experienced, calm, and knowledgeable Maternity Nanny for a professional couple expecting newborn twins in early January 2027. The parents are first-time parents with no local family support in Brisbane, making a skilled nanny an essential extension of their household. This 3 to 5-month contract will begin upon discharge from the hospital and run until mid-May 2027. The ideal candidate will be a steady, confident presence who can guide the parents through initial newborn routines, assist with combination feeding, and ensure both parents get much-needed rest during the postpartum recovery period following a C-section.

The Role & Schedule

30 to 38 hours per week, with specific hours and shift structure open to discussion (evenings or night care preferred).

Flexible working basis to suit the family's changing needs as the twins grow.

Childcare & Household Duties

Establishing healthy, evidence-based feeding, sleep, and settling routines for newborn twins.

Providing overnight or evening care (feeding, nappy changing, settling) to allow parents to rest.

Sterilising bottles, pump equipment, and managing the newborns' laundry.

Maintaining a log/diary of feeding and sleep patterns.

Guiding first-time parents on gentle newborn care techniques (bathing, settling)



without being overly prescriptive.

Assisting with light meal preparation and light tidying of main living areas.

The Family Home & Accommodation

Located primarily in a brand-recent, modern family home in Clayfield, close to public transport (bus 170m, train stations 450m).

Live-in accommodation can be provided on the upper floor: a private, self-contained suite featuring a spacious bedroom, walk-in robe, ensuite, private lounge room with TV, bar fridge/sink, Wi-Fi, and private balcony.

Requirements

Proven, verifiable experience with newborns (prior experience with twins is highly regarded).

Calm, highly organized, and supportive personality to assist a recovering mother.

Confident in helping establish healthy daily routines based on experience and practical guidance.

Must have own reliable transport to travel to work
