Currently, we have vacancies in Toowoomba for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team working with participantsboth 1:1 and in SILand SDAhousing.

n

The Position

n

Disability Support Workers provide domestic assistance, personal care, transport, positive health and well being opportunities and support our NDISparticipantsto achieve their goals.

n

Thesupports andserviceswe provide to our participants are:

n

- Daily personal care assistance
n
- Domestic supports including cleaning, washing and cooking
n
- Community access and transport
n
- Active overnight awake shifts / sleepover night shifts
n

n

Required Qualifications and Experience

n

n
- Willing to work some sleepovers is a must
n
- Minimum Certificate III or higher in Disability or Individual Support, Aged Care or Nursing, or currently or willing to enroll
n
- PEG, Quality of Life Feeds, and stoma care experience highly desirable
n




- Able to work some 1:1 active overnight shifts each week
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
- Own registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
n
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain before commencement
n
- Experience in manual and mechanical hoist use
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or Current Yellow Card
n
- Working with Children Blue Card
n
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Quality Safety and You) or willingness to complete prior to commencing
n
- Have the willingness to supportparticipantswith personal care and domestic duties
n
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
n
- Have good computer, phone, communication, and interpersonal skills
n
- Have a strong sense of personal accountability and confidentiality
n
