The Kew Golf Club is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join our team as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.

n

Working as 2IC to our Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in leading our front‐of‐house team and delivering an outstanding hospitality experience across member dining, bar service, functions, golf events and special occasions.

n

For the right person, this role offers:

- $80,000-$85,000 + super, depending on experience

About the role

n

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager,



you will help lead the day‐to‐day operation of our front‐of‐house team and ensure our members and guests consistently receive a high standard of service.

n

Importantly, this is not simply a senior shift supervisor position. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, develop people and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our hospitality operation.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Leading the front‐of‐house team during daily service, functions and events
n
- Acting as the senior hospitality manager on duty when required
n
- Supporting, coaching and developing our food and beverage team
n
- Helping to create a positive, skilled and accountable team culture
n
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, service and member experience
n
- Assisting with rostering and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
n
- Coordinating restaurant, bar, function and event service
n
- Supporting staff recruitment, induction and training
n
- Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety and other relevant requirements
n
- Assisting with stock control and operational administration
n
- Working closely with our kitchen and broader Club teams
n
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve service standards and operating efficiency
n

About you

n

You may already be working as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant Venue Manager,



or you may be an experienced Restaurant Supervisor, Duty Manager or F&B; Supervisor who is ready to take the next step.

n

We are more interested in your leadership capability, service standards and attitude than your current job title.

n

You will ideally bring:

- Strong experience in a quality hospitality environment
n
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a front‐of‐house team
n
- A warm, professional and confident communication style
n
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
n
- The ability to remain calm and make good decisions during busy services
n
- Hand‐on approach - you will be comfortable leading from the floor
n
- A willingness to coach and develop less experienced team members
n
- Sound understanding of responsible service and hospitality compliance requirements
n
- Flexibility to work across a roster that includes weekends, some evenings and public holidays
n
- Experience in a quality restaurant, hotel, events venue, private club or similar environment would be highly regarded. Previous golf club experience is not required.
