Clinical Nurse Consultant Adult Emergency

Lead emergency nursing excellence while driving quality improvement, clinical leadership and exceptional patient outcomes in a busy Emergency Department.

About the role

n

Make a significant impact in one of Metro North Health's busiest Emergency Departments by providing advanced clinical leadership, expert emergency nursing advice and support for patients with complex and rapidly changing healthcare needs. Based at Redcliffe Hospital, this role focuses on enhancing the patient journey and driving improvements in the quality and delivery of emergency care.

Working closely with nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you will act as a clinical expert, mentor and resource within the Adult Emergency Department. The position offers the opportunity to influence practice, support service improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of a high-performing emergency nursing workforce.

About you

- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, clinical expertise and leadership within adult emergency nursing practice.

- Provide expert clinical consultation, mentorship and support to nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams in managing complex emergency presentations.

- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient flow,



patient experience and clinical outcomes within the Emergency Department.

- Apply critical thinking, advanced problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgement to support safe, timely and evidence-based care.

- Contribute to workforce capability through education, professional development, clinical leadership and the promotion of best-practice emergency nursing standards.
