Mountleap & Company is representing an established and growing business within Australia’s caravan and recreational vehicle industry in the appointment of a

Sales Consultant

for its

branch .

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven salesperson who enjoys working directly with customers, building relationships and converting genuine enquiries into sales.

You do not necessarily need previous caravan industry experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong sales mindset, excellent customer engagement skills and the motivation to build a successful career in the caravan and RV sector.

The Role

As a Sales Consultant, you will manage customers through the full sales journey — from initial enquiry and product presentation through to negotiation, closing and handover coordination.

Your responsibilities will include:

Engaging with customers visiting the Rocklea branch and responding to inbound sales enquiries

Understanding customer needs, travel plans, lifestyle requirements and budget

Presenting suitable caravan and RV models and clearly communicating product features and benefits

Conducting product demonstrations and supporting customers through the buying decision

Following up leads consistently through phone, email and CRM

Preparing quotations and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline

Negotiating and closing sales in a professional and commercially responsible manner

Maintaining accurate customer and sales records

Coordinating with internal teams to support a smooth customer experience from sale through to delivery

Participating in caravan shows, promotional events and other sales activities when required

Building strong long-term customer relationships and supporting referrals and repeat business

Working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve individual and branch sales targets





About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys sales.

Ideally, you will bring:

Previous experience in sales, retail, automotive, caravan, RV, marine, 4WD, outdoor lifestyle or another customer-facing workplace

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Confidence in presenting products and asking for the sale

A proactive approach to lead follow-up and pipeline management

Good negotiation and closing capability

Strong personal accountability and a results-oriented mindset

Professional presentation and a positive customer service approach

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a branch team

Basic confidence using CRM and digital sales systems

A current Australian driver licence

Experience within the caravan or automotive industry will be highly regarded but is

not essential . Candidates with strong transferable sales capability and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.

This position will suit someone who enjoys talking to people but also understands that professional sales requires

You may currently be working in automotive sales, dealerships, retail, 4WD and outdoor products, marine, motorcycles, furniture, home improvement or another consultative sales environment and be looking for your next opportunity.
