OptimumCare Plus is seeking reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers who are genuinely available to work short 3–5 hour shifts across Adelaide.

We currently have opportunities for workers who are comfortable providing shorter community and in-home supports and who value flexibility in their working hours.

This role suits experienced support workers looking for additional hours, people balancing study or family commitments, or workers wanting to gradually build their hours as suitable participant shifts become available.

If you are only seeking long shifts, this particular opportunity may not be suitable for you.

About the Role

Depending on participant needs, your duties may include:

- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and social participation
- Transport to appointments, shopping and activities
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Medication assistance where trained and authorised
- Psychosocial and emotional support
- Supporting participants to work towards their individual goals
- Following support plans, behaviour support plans and risk strategies
- Completing accurate progress notes and required documentation
- Reporting changes, incidents or concerns promptly

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for workers who are:
- Reliable, punctual and consistent
- Willing to regularly accept 3–5 hour shifts
- Experienced in disability or community support
- Comfortable working independently in participants' homes and communities
- Person-centred and respectful
- Good communicators




- Able to maintain professional boundaries
- Confident completing progress notes
- Flexible with availability
- Willing to travel between participant locations where required

Experience in psychosocial disability, mental health, personal care, complex supports or community access will be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold or be able to provide the following prior to commencing employment:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check / NDIS Worker Clearance
- Current South Australian Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – “Quality, Safety and You” certificate
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- Police clearance, where required for the role or participant setting
- Relevant disability, community services, individual support or health qualification, where applicable

Access to a reliable vehicle is highly desirable and may be required for particular participants and community-access shifts. Participant-specific training may be required before commencing specialised supports.
