What you’ll be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the NSW Rural Fire Service Cumberland/Macarthur District (Western Sydney District) and provide high-quality administrative support within a busy and diverse operational environment.
As an Administration Officer, you will support the effective day-to-day operations of the District through a broad range of administrative, coordination and customer service activities. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, senior officers and external stakeholders, helping ensure information, records, correspondence and business processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
The role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute directly to an organisation that supports communities across Cumberland/Macarthur District (Western Sydney District).
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly organised, professional and motivated Administration Officer to join the NSW Rural Fire Service Cumberland/Macarthur District (Western Sydney District).
- The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy and dynamic operational environment.
- You will be confident managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records,
preparing correspondence and reports, coordinating meetings and supporting day-to-day business activities across the district.
- You will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Robust interpersonal skills are essential, as the role regularly engages with staff, volunteers, senior officers, local councils and other stakeholders.
- The successful candidate will be adaptable, proactive and committed to providing high-quality administrative support.
- Experience working within government, emergency services or a complex operational organisation would be highly regarded, together with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and corporate information management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate advice on day-to-day administrative requirements, including records and information management, correspondence, customer service, meeting coordination, financial administration, and support to staff and volunteer members.
