Kinvara Civil, a growing civil construction company, is looking for an experienced Drainer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects and grow your career.

We are a Sydney-based civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure and utility projects across New South Wales. We specialise in complex excavations, water, sewer, stormwater, and underground utility infrastructure, with extensive experience delivering works to Sydney Water standards and specifications.

What you'll do

- Install, repair and maintain sewer, stormwater and drainage systems.
- Lay and connect drainage pipes in accordance with plans, specifications and required levels.
- Set out drainage works and establish correct pipe levels, grades and alignments.
- Install pits, manholes and associated drainage infrastructure.
- Work safely in and around trenches and excavations.
- Assist with connections to existing sewer and drainage infrastructure.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Carry out inspections and testing of installed drainage systems as required.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, plant operators and other site personnel.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with project, quality and environmental requirements.





What We’re Looking For

- Relevant drainage qualification and/or current NSW licence or certificate appropriate to the drainage work being undertaken.
- Previous experience as a Drainer within civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with sewer, stormwater and underground pipework.
- Ability to read plans, understand levels and work to specified grades and alignments.
- Experience working safely around trenches, excavations and heavy plant.
- Strong understanding of site safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
- NSW White Card.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Sydney Water project experience is highly regarded.
