About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Duty Manager to join our team at our 3 Kalgoorlie Venues in Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our hotel.

As Duty

Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all hotel operations during your shift, maintaining service standards, managing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position is essential to the success of our property and requires someone who can lead with confidence, solve problems efficiently, and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Working closely with the General Manager to help oversee all hotel operations during your shift, ensuring smooth and productive service delivery
- Manage and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, providing direction and support
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to complaints or concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Enjoys working in a very rapid paced venue and can adapt from one task to another easily
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies and procedures
- Experience in Function and Corporate event would be an advantage
- Handle cash management, financial transactions, stock management and Stocktakes
- Conduct staff briefings and communicate important information to team members
- Respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate protocols




- Maintain detailed duty manager logs and reports
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Address maintenance issues and organise repairs where necessary

What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Duty Manager or similar supervisory role within a hospitality environment

- A current WA Aproved Managers card
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and support staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage services

- Proficiency with hotel management systems and point-of-sale software
- Competency in financial management and cash handling
- Understanding of health, safety, and security protocols in hospitality settings

- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
