An established Australian facilities management and property services business is seeking an experienced and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician for a permanent full-time position based at a commercial office building in South West Sydney. This is a dedicated single-site position, with the successful applicant based at the same office building each day.

The Role

n

n
- Respond to daily reactive maintenance requests within the building
n
- Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance requirements
n
- Carry out general building repairs and maintenance
n
- Undertake minor carpentry and repair works
n
- Complete door, lock, hinge and hardware repairs
n
- Undertake patching and minor painting
n
- Repair and replace fixtures and fittings
n
- Complete minor plumbing-related maintenance where a licensed plumber is not required
n
- Undertake furniture, shelving and general equipment repairs
n
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
n
- Proactively identify defects before they develop into larger issues
n
- Assist and coordinate specialist contractors attending the building
n
- Monitor outstanding maintenance items through to completion
n
- Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance/storage areas
n
- Complete digital work orders including photographs and job notes
n
- Report significant defects,



safety concerns and required capital works to the Facilities Manager
n
- Assist with maintaining the overall presentation and condition of the office building
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in maintaining a commercial property to a high standard. Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, carpenter, tradesperson or building maintenance professional
n
- Strong general maintenance and fault-finding capabilities
n
- Experience in commercial buildings, offices, shopping centres, hotels or similar properties
n
- Ability to undertake a broad range of minor repairs
n
- Experience using hand and power tools
n
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Professional presentation suitable for a corporate office workplace
n
- Basic computer/mobile skills for digital work orders
n
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
n
