Locations: Moreton Bay, Brisbane CBD, Redland Bay & Logan (various council depots and work sites)
Pay rate: $34–$45 per hour + super (dependent on experience and tickets)

Hours: Full-time hours available (typically 38–40 hrs/week)

About the role

We’re recruiting General Labourers for ongoing local council opportunities across South East Queensland. These roles offer a mix of parks & grounds work plus civil/construction-style labouring, supporting crews that maintain and improve community assets.

You’ll work across different sites depending on daily priorities—helping with everything from parks maintenance and presentation through to road/footpath works, drainage support, minor construction, and asset maintenance projects. If you’re reliable, safety-focused, and happy to be hands‑on outdoors, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

- General labouring support across parks, civil and construction maintenance works
- Assisting with site set-up/pack-down, traffic/pedestrian management support (where required), loading/unloading materials
- Parks/grounds tasks: mowing/brush‑cutting support, weeding, mulching, planting, litter removal, basic landscaping labouring




- Civil/construction tasks: basic groundworks, trenching support, concreting assistance, asphalt/patching support, kerb/footpath repairs support, drainage maintenance assistance
- Secure use and daily care of tools, plant, and PPE
- Waste/material disposal in line with site and council requirements
- Working professionally as part of a crew and around members of the public

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in general labouring (parks, civil, construction, maintenance or similar)
- Strong manual handling capability and a solid safety mindset
- Able to take direction, work in a team, and adapt to changing tasks/sites
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Tickets/Licences (preferred / required)

- MR driver’s licence (highly regarded / often required)
- White Card (current - required)
- C Class Drivers licence (current - required)
- Bonus tickets (highly regarded): traffic control, forklift, roller, skid steer, excavator, chainsaw/brushcutter, confined spaces (if held)
