An exciting opportunity has become available at our Alex Park Public School. We are recruiting an Educator. At TASK we strive to create joyful, secure, and inclusive child safe environments where children flourish outside school hours. This is a permanent, part-time Educator role offering approximately 10 hours per week across afternoon shifts. You will need to be available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at minimum. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts during vacation care and when required is preferred.

This is a busy service with more than 20 children with additional needs attending each day, so it suits an educator who is confident on the floor and comfortable with large groups.

You will be responsible for:

- Supervising and interacting with children aged 5 to 12 in enjoyable, secure and purposeful ways

- Supporting children with additional needs and responding calmly to challenging behaviour

- Planning and running activities for large groups

- Supporting routines like snack, homework and play

- Building strong relationships with families and school staff

- Working with your team to keep the space calm and respectful

What we're looking for:

Previous experience is required for this role. You are:





- An experienced educator with the skills to support children's challenging behaviour

- Confident planning and running activities and supervising large groups

- Energetic, caring and reliable
- A strong communicator who works well in a team

Experience working with children with additional needs is preferable.

You will need:

- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

- Completion certificate for Foundations of Child Safety Training (GECCKO)

- Current child protection training

- Availability Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons
