This position supports the Senior Electronics Engineer and wider Engineering team with product testing, quality, RMA investigation, Design for Assembly and the development of small and relatively straightforward electronic products and assemblies.

ROLE PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting the design, testing, verification and continuous improvement of Helios electronic and power-electronic products. The Junior Electronics Engineer develops practical engineering capability through hands-on involvement in quality control, functional testing, troubleshooting, RMA investigation, documentation and product improvement.

The role works closely with the Senior Electronics Engineer and progressively takes ownership of small or relatively simple design tasks while following established engineering standards, review processes and technical guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the Senior Electronics Engineer with the design, development, testing and improvement of electronic and power-electronic products.
- Perform quality-control inspections, functional testing and verification testing of products, assemblies and prototypes.
- Investigate RMAs and field failures through structured fault finding, testing, data collection and root-cause analysis.
- Document RMA findings and support corrective actions, engineering changes and product improvements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), simplification, standardization and reduction of manufacturing time.
- Review existing products for opportunities to reduce wiring, improve reliability, simplify assembly and improve serviceability.
- Design and develop small and relatively simple electronic products, assemblies, interfaces and accessories under appropriate engineering supervision.




- Create and update electrical/electronic schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or equivalent tools.
- Support prototype builds, design verification, functional testing, troubleshooting and technical validation.
- Assist with component selection considering performance, reliability, availability, cost, compliance and product lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, test procedures, work instructions, verification records and technical reports.
- Support Production and Quality with technical issues, fault investigation and implementation of approved engineering changes.
- Assist with the development of test fixtures, automated test equipment and engineering tools where required.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and follow Helios document-control, change-control and engineering processes.
- Participate in design reviews, lessons learned and continuous-improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Graduate to approximately 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
- Understanding of power supplies, DC-DC converters and power-electronic circuits.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design, preferably using Altium Designer.
- Practical experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, laboratory power supplies and related test equipment.
- Good practical troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.




- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs and test procedures.
- Clear written and verbal communication and disciplined engineering documentation.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

- Exposure to industrial DC power, UPS, battery chargers or power-conversion products.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers or firmware development.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, product testing or production support.
- Exposure to EMC testing, compliance testing or formal product verification.
- Experience with RMA, failure analysis, quality or continuous-improvement processes.
