Beneficent is expanding in Mount Gambier, and we're looking for an Employment Consultant to join our experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team.

This is a recent role with the opportunity to be involved in WorkBridge, our new employment pilot supporting people with disability to build their capacity and move towards meaningful employment.

Alongside WorkBridge, you'll support NDIS participants and people recovering from workplace injuries to identify career pathways, prepare for employment and connect with employers.

What you'll be doing A major part of this role is building relationships with local employers and creating employment opportunities for our clients.

You'll

- Build relationships with employers across Mount Gambier and surrounding areas
- Identify employment and work placement opportunities
- Confidently advocate for candidates and demonstrate the value they can bring to a workplace
- Attend employer meetings, workplaces and community events
- Support clients to identify realistic career pathways and employment goals
- Assist people with disability and/or injury to prepare for and transition into employment
- Work collaboratively with clients, employers and other stakeholders to achieve sustainable outcomes

To be successful you will possess the following skills/traits:




- Passion to work with clients from all walks of life
- Caring and empathic nature
- The ability to build lasting relationships with your clients, including adapting your approach according to your clients’ needs.
- An understanding of personal motivators and how to motivate a range of people
- High level organisational skills
- Good IT and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to prioritise tasks.

The following qualifications/licensing is required:
- Qualifications in one of the following is desirable:

o Coaching o Career Development o Employment services o Or other similar qualification
- Valid drivers license and a roadworthy vehicle to use in the role
- A National Police Clearance
- Full Australian working rights
- Preparedness to obtain a Working with Children Check, and an NDIS Clearance
