Company Description Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) is Australia’s largest not-for-profit, membership-based dance organisation, dedicated to excellence in dance education. ATOD delivers high-quality training through structured systems of learning, comprehensive syllabi, and Nationally Recognised Training (RTO 31624). Role Description The Engagement Officer is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Brisbane Area. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with members, dance educators, and partner organisations, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating member communications, responding to inquiries, supporting events and programs, and gathering feedback to inform service improvement.

The role involves developing engagement initiatives, managing social media and digital channels, and preparing reports on membership activity and outreach outcomes.

The Engagement

Officer will collaborate closely with internal teams to support marketing campaigns, educational projects, and community-building activities aligned with ATOD’s mission.

Qualifications

- Experience in stakeholder engagement, community outreach, or member services,



with the ability to build positive, long-term relationships.
- Strong communication skills, including confident written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and professional email and phone etiquette.
- Competence in digital tools and platforms, such as CRM or membership systems, social media management, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).
- Organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Experience in events support or coordination, including planning logistics, liaising with participants, and assisting with on-site delivery.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing member needs.
- Interest in or familiarity with dance, performing arts, or education sectors is highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, arts administration, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
