The Opportunity

Ready to take ownership of complex engineering projects and deliver work that makes a genuine impact across Australian industry?

Alliance Automation is looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our growing Brisbane team. You’ll lead the delivery of control systems and automation projects across sectors including Mining & Resources, Water & Wastewater and Heavy Industry,



working alongside some of Australia’s leading industrial businesses.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take projects from concept through to commissioning, bringing together clients, engineers and delivery teams to achieve great outcomes. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, make decisions and build strong client relationships, backed by one of Australia’s leading automation delivery businesses.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to get things done. You’ll combine strong project and commercial management capability with a solid technical understanding of control systems and automation. You’ll be comfortable leading teams, engaging with clients and keeping complex projects moving safely, efficiently and commercially.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Leading engineering and automation projects from concept through to commissioning
- Taking ownership of project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and commercial outcomes
- Working closely with clients to understand their operations, challenges and project objectives
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and project teams
- Overseeing the design, development, integration and delivery of PLC, SCADA and control system solutions
- Proactively managing project risks, variations and competing priorities
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification and with strong commercial discipline
- Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add further value
- Championing a strong HSEQ culture throughout project delivery

What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrated experience managing engineering, automation or control systems projects
- Strong project planning, resource management and commercial capability
- Experience within Mining & Resources, Water & Wastewater, Heavy Industry or similar operational environments
- A sound technical understanding of PLC, SCADA and industrial control systems
- Strong client engagement,



stakeholder management and communication skills
- The confidence to lead engineering teams and make decisions when it counts
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of the detail
