About the role:

We currently have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager who will be responsible for the overall Engineering and Maintenance performance of the Tarpeena manufacturing activities, including the CLT/GLT plant currently under construction. With the completion of a $90 million upgrade to the existing site, our Tarpeena site is fast becoming a word class manufacturing facility.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the site engineering function compromising of Engineering, Process Improvement, Plant Reliability, Capital, and Stores Management. The role will safely lead the function ensure the effective delivery of the sites 5-year strategic and annual operational plans with the site and group Capital teams.

As a Timberlink leader, the Engineering Manager will drive a positive work culture and create diverse and inclusive teams, ensuring that team members have the right tools and skills to succeed within their positions.

This permanent, full time position will be based at our Bell Bay sawmill, located 35 minutes from Launceston, with relocation assistance on offer for those interested in making the move to Tasmania.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement policies,



standards and procedures for the engineering department that drive continuous improvement of process, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness

- Continuous Improvement relating to team approach to improve recoveries and productivity

- Technical support for Engineering function as required

- Support and maintain the R&D; process at site level

- Maintain the highest level of safety leadership

Qualifications and Qualities that you will bring to Timberlink:

- Engineering Degree / Tertiary Management Qualification

- Manufacturing Industry (or similar industry) and Project Management experience

- Operational/Production experience highly regarded

- People Management and Leadership Experience

- Highly developed analytical skills
