ACROBO, a brand of Schoolola Pty Ltd, is seeking an energetic and engaging English Tutor & Speaking Coach to work with students in Grades 2 to 8.

The primary focus of this role is public speaking, communication and confidence-building. You will coach students to become clear, expressive and confident speakers through structured lessons involving public speaking, storytelling, presentations, persuasive speaking, discussion and performance.

The role will also include some English tutoring and a small amount of parent enquiry and enrolment follow-up calls.

As ACROBO continues to grow, you will also have the prospect to contribute ideas and feedback that help shape our Speaking and English programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-energy, engaging and structured Speaking and Communication classes for students in Grades 2–8.
- Coach students in voice projection, articulation, expression, body language, eye contact, gestures and stage presence.
- Build student confidence in public speaking, storytelling, presentations, persuasive speaking and impromptu speaking.
- Help students organise their thoughts and communicate ideas clearly and confidently.
- Facilitate discussions and help students strengthen reasoning, vocabulary and argument structure.
- Provide individual coaching and constructive feedback so students demonstrate visible improvement over time.
- Create a positive and inspiring classroom environment where students feel comfortable speaking and participating.
- Manage group classes confidently while adapting to different student personalities and ability levels.
- Support students with English skills, including vocabulary, comprehension, writing, grammar and verbal expression where required.
- Encourage positive values including confidence, empathy, kindness,



integrity and respect.
- Provide useful feedback to parents regarding student progress.

Parent Enquiry & Enrolment Calls A small component of the role will involve speaking with prospective and existing parents.

This may include

- Calling parents who have enquired about ACROBO programs.
- Explaining the Speaking and English programs in a clear and friendly manner.
- Understanding a child's needs and recommending an appropriate program or class.
- Following up trial classes, assessments or enquiries.
- Answering basic questions about classes, learning outcomes and enrolment.
- Encouraging suitable families to enrol where the program meets their child's needs.
- Recording brief notes and follow-up actions accurately.

This is not primarily a sales role. However, the successful candidate should be comfortable speaking with parents, building rapport and confidently explaining the value of ACROBO programs.

Ideal Candidate

You may currently be, or have previously worked as:

- An English tutor or English teacher
- Public speaking coach
- Drama or acting teacher
- Debating coach
- Performing arts teacher
- Primary or secondary school teacher
- Presenter, actor or media professional with experience working with children

Candidates with experience in established schools, tutoring organisations, debating programs, performing arts schools, NIDA, Actors Centre Australia or similar organisations are encouraged to apply.

You will ideally have

- At least 1 year of teaching, tutoring, coaching or relevant communication experience.
- Strong spoken and written English.




- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- A proven ability to engage and motivate children.
- Confidence managing group classes.
- A lively, positive and energetic teaching style.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
- Confidence speaking with parents by phone and following up enquiries.
- The ability to explain programs clearly without using a pushy sales approach.
- Reliability, organisation and attention to quality.
- A growth mindset and willingness to receive feedback.
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.

What We Are Looking For This is not simply a traditional English tutoring role.

We are particularly looking for someone who can walk into a room, engage students and help them become noticeably more confident communicators.

Think → Speak → Present → Communicate while strengthening the English skills that support confident communication.

You should also be comfortable having warm, professional conversations with parents who are considering ACROBO for their child.

Pay: $26.44 – $66.45 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 20.0 per week
