An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join the team at Narrabri District Hospital.

Where you'll be working

Narrabri District Hospital is a well-resourced rural district hospital providing a diverse range of services to the local community, including medical and surgical care, maternity, palliative care, oncology and emergency services. The hospital also provides exposure to a busy Emergency Department and Operating Theatre setting.

About the role

Working in a supportive rural hospital environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your nursing skills across a diverse range of clinical areas.

You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, partnering closely with medical, allied health and community services to provide safe, high-quality, person-centred care to patients and their families.

What you'll be doing

- Provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to patients across a diverse rural hospital setting.
- Communicate sensitively with patients to identify their needs and advocate on behalf of patients/clients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Medical Officers, Allied Health professionals and community services.
- Participate in education, professional development and clinical support opportunities.

The role works across a rotating roster, including 8-hour morning and afternoon shifts and 10-hour night shifts, with flexible hours available.

Previous experience in a rural hospital or across multiple clinical areas is appreciated but not essential. Orientation and ongoing education will be provided based on your individual needs and experience.

Requirements

- Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
