Entry-Level Dental Assistant

The Littleton Cole Dental Centre is looking for a reliable, caring and motivated person to join our team as an Entry-Level Dental Assistant. You do not need previous dental experience. We are open to applicants from healthcare, hospitality, customer service, administration or other people-focused backgrounds.

About the role

- Prepare treatment rooms and clinical equipment.
- Assist clinicians during general, restorative and preventative procedures.
- Prepare and turn over surgeries efficiently.
- Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene and workplace-safety requirements.
- Learn instrument processing and sterilisation procedures.
- Support patient comfort
- Maintain clean, organised and well-stocked clinical rooms.
- Assist with digital scanning and other clinical workflows.
- Help with basic reception and patient-coordination tasks when required.
- Develop the knowledge and confidence needed for a long-term dental career.

Training and employment details You do not need to already hold a dental-assisting qualification. We provide full training and, for the right person, support toward gaining a Certificate III in Dental Assisting while working.

The role is full-time across a nine-day fortnight, with no Saturday or Sunday work. Start date is ASAP. The role is intended to be covered by the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 [MA000027], subject to confirmation of the applicable classification and pay point.
