High-End Garden Maintenance

n
What this role actually is
n
We're Nest Landscape Design, Construction & Maintenance.
n
We design, build and maintain high-end residential landscapes across the Gold Coast.
n
Our maintenance team looks after established gardens that have been carefully designed, built and planted — and our job is to make sure they keep getting better.
n
We're looking for an experienced Garden Maintenance team member who understands that great garden maintenance is about a lot more than mowing lawns and trimming hedges.
n
You'll be trusted to understand the gardens you work in, notice what they need and take ownership of the result.
n
What you'll really be doing
n
You'll:
n
n
- Maintain high-end residential gardens to an exceptional standard
n
- Prune properly — understanding the plant, its form and how it should develop, rather than just cutting everything back
n
- Keep lawns sharp through mowing, edging, fertilising and seasonal care
n
- Identify weeds, pests, diseases and plant health issues before they become bigger problems
n
- Plant, mulch, improve soils and carry out general horticultural work
n
- Check irrigation and identify issues when something isn't working as it should
n
- Notice when a garden could be better and make recommendations rather than simply walking past it
n
- Look after your tools, equipment and vehicle like they're your own
n
- Leave every property clean, considered and looking better than when you arrived
n
- Communicate confidently and professionally with our clients
n
- Keep site notes, photos and job information up to date
n
n
Most importantly, you'll care about the finished result.
n
If something looks wrong, you notice it.
n
If a plant is struggling, you want to know why.
n
If something needs doing, you don't wait for someone else to point it out.
n
What this role is not
n
n
- Not basic lawn mowing
n
- Not a race to get through as many properties as possible
n
- Not a role where someone will stand beside you telling you what to do all day
n
- Not a job for someone who thinks "good enough" is good enough
n
n
We work on beautiful properties and our clients expect a high standard.
n
Who fits here
n
You'll do well if:
n
n
- You genuinely know and enjoy plants and gardens
n
- You have experience in garden maintenance, landscaping or horticulture
n
- You know how to prune properly
n
- You have robust plant identification and horticultural knowledge
n
- You notice the small details
n
- You work efficiently without sacrificing quality
n
- You're reliable, punctual and organised
n
- You're comfortable working independently
n
- You're professional around clients and their homes
n
- You take pride in your tools, vehicle and work area
n
- You don't need someone constantly checking your work
n
n
A Certificate III in Horticulture is highly regarded, but strong hands‐on experience and horticultural knowledge matter just as much.
n
A current driver's licence is essential, with the ability to drive a manual preferred.
n
ACDC chemical accreditation is also highly regarded.
n
Why this is a good place to work
n
n
- We work 4 day weeks - Monday to Thursday
n
- You'll maintain genuinely beautiful, high-end gardens
n
- You're trusted to take ownership of your work
n
- You're part of a landscape company that designs, builds and maintains its projects
n
- You work with capable people who care about what they produce
n
- Good work gets noticed
n
- Working with a family owned and operated business
n
- No corporate layers or politics
n
- Opportunity to grow as our maintenance division grows
n
n
We take our landscapes seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
n
