Job Description
Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), Sydney
n
The HR Business Partner collaborates with operational and functional leaders to deliver people strategies that support business performance, workforce capability, employee engagement and legislative compliance.
n
The role provides expert employee relations and workforce advice, supports organisational change and workforce planning initiatives, drives leadership capability, and partners with stakeholders to create a high-performing, safe and inclusive workplace culture across SSP Australia.
n
Responsibilities:
n
Strategic Business Partnering
n
Partner with operational leaders to align people initiatives with business objectives.
n
Coach and support managers on leadership, workforce management and people-related decision making.
n
Analyse workforce trends and people metrics to identify risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Contribute to the development and implementation of People strategies, programs and policies.
n
Support organisational design, workforce planning and succession planning activities.
n
Employee Relations & Compliance
n
Provide expert advice on employment legislation, Modern Awards, enterprise agreements and company policies.
n
Manage complex employee relations matters, including misconduct, grievances, workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
n
Provide guidance and coaching to managers regarding performance management, employee development and conduct matters.
n
Coordinate and manage Fair Work Commission matters and external employment-related claims.
n
Proactively identify and mitigate employment and industrial relations risks.
n
Ensure compliance with company policies, legislative requirements and employment obligations.
n
Workforce Planning & Talent
n
Support workforce planning and succession planning activities.
n
Partner with leaders to identify critical talent requirements and future workforce needs.
n
Lead or support recruitment activities for key and difficult-to-fill positions.
n
Manage onboarding programs for Head Office and leadership roles to support successful integration into the business.
n
Change Management
n
Support organisational change, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
n
Provide guidance regarding consultation obligations and change management frameworks.
n
Assist leaders to effectively communicate and implement change initiatives.
n
Support the management of workers compensation and injury management matters.
n
Partner with operational leaders, insurers and the Safety Team to facilitate effective return-to-work outcomes.
n
Monitor and support rehabilitation programs and workplace adjustments.
n
Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and a psychologically safe workplace culture.
n
Culture & Employee Experience
n
Support employee engagement initiatives and action planning activities.
n
Partner with leaders to foster an inclusive, respectful and high-performing workplace culture.
n
Contribute to initiatives that strengthen retention, employee experience and organisational capability.
n
Reporting & Administration
n
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
n
Prepare reports,
dashboards and workforce analytics to support business decision-making.
n
Support implementation and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and procedures
n
Person Specification:
n
Education/Qualification
n
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline.
n
Knowledge and Skills
n
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
n
Strong understanding of performance management, investigations and employee relations practices.
n
Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders across all levels of the organisation.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
n
High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
n
Ability to influence outcomes through coaching, collaboration and sound commercial judgment.
n
Personal & Job Attributes / Capabilities (competencies for the right candidates)
n
Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or equivalent HR Generalist role.
n
Experience managing complex employee relations matters.
n
Experience interpreting and applying Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards.
n
Experience supporting leaders within operational or multi-site environments.
n
Robust stakeholder management and influencing skills.
n
