MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our growing open cut mining operation at Nyngan, NSW. This is a permanent full-time position on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, with accommodation and meals provided.

About the role:

n

You'll be responsible for delivering practical training, coaching and competency assessments to production operators across a range of mobile mining equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Training and assessing operators on haul trucks, dozers, graders, water trucks, excavators and other mobile equipment
n
- Conducting inductions, practical assessments and competency-based training
n
- Delivering refresher training and operator upskilling
n




- Assessing competency against relevant RII units and site requirements
n
- Maintaining accurate training and competency records
n
- Working with supervisors and operational leaders to identify training needs
n
- Promoting secure, compliant and efficient operating practices
n

About you:

n

n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40116 or current equivalent
n
- Previous experience as a Mining Trainer, Assessor, Production Trainer or similar
n
- Current RII competencies across mobile mining equipment
n
- Strong knowledge of open cut mining and production operations
n
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
n
- The ability to build rapport with operators at varying experience levels
n
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality training outcomes
n
