Role Description
This is a casual/contract Exercise Physiologist role based in office in Bella Vista, NSW, with the aim to progress to full-time rapidly as your list grows, if desired.
The Exercise
Physiologist will assess clients’ functional capacity, health status, and goals, and design individualised exercise prescriptions for workplace rehabilitation, chronic disease, musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional strength needs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting initial and review consultations, supervising exercise sessions, monitoring progress, and adjusting programs based on clinical outcomes and client feedback.
The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, liaising with referrers and multidisciplinary providers, and contributing to high-quality, evidence-based care.
The Exercise
Physiologist will also educate clients on self-management strategies and promote safe, sustainable lifestyle change.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Exercise Physiology, with the ability to apply evidence-based principles to diverse clinical populations.
- Competence in Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation for workplace injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease, and neurological presentations.
- Recognized tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or equivalent, with accreditation (or eligibility for accreditation) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients from varied backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and time-management skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to a supportive, client-centred environment.
- Experience with compensable schemes (e.g., workers’ compensation, NDIS, or similar) and use of clinical software systems is desirable.
