Pharmaceutical Machine Operator

CGS Pharma is an Australian pharmaceutical and nutraceutical contract manufacturer based in Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join our production team.

About the role

This is a hands-on manufacturing position operating pharmaceutical production equipment within a regulated GMP environment. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery while maintaining high standards of quality, documentation and production performance.

Key responsibilities

- Set up, operate and monitor capsule, tablet and other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
- Perform pre-start safety checks, line clearance and in-process checks
- Complete manufacturing and batch documentation accurately and in real time
- Follow SOPs, Work Instructions and GMP requirements
- Manage raw materials and components during production
- Monitor machine performance, yields and production efficiency
- Identify and troubleshoot machinery issues
- Minimise waste and maximise production yields
- Maintain clean room and production area standards
- Perform equipment cleaning and changeovers
- Complete quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Comply with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements

About you We are looking for someone who enjoys working with machinery and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous machine operating experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, cosmetic or similar manufacturing
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability




- Experience working within GMP or another regulated manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written procedures and complete documentation correctly
- Good numeracy, literacy and basic computer skills
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Ability to safely perform manual handling, including lifting up to 20 to 25 kg when required
- Reliable transport and a strong attendance record
- Forklift licence is advantageous

Pay: $27.07 – $44.63 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
