Disability Support Worker – Experienced (Minimum 1 year)

Briighter Care is looking for experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. We are seeking compassionate and confident support workers who have experience providing high-quality support to participants with complex needs.

This role is suited to someone who is confident working independently, providing personal care and supporting participants with high-intensity needs, Manual Handling and complex behaviours.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with Briighter Care, you will provide person-centred support to participants to help them achieve their goals, maintain their independence and participate safely in their daily activities.

Your responsibilities may include

- Providing personal care and hygiene support
- Supporting participants with high-intensity care needs
- Supporting participants with complex behaviours
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
- Following individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Supporting medication routines in accordance with participant plans and organisational procedures
- Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and independence
- Working collaboratively with families, support coordinators and other members of the care team

Essential Requirements To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Minimum 1 year of disability support experience




- Previous experience with high-intensity care
- Previous experience supporting complex behaviours
- Experience providing personal care
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable and skilled approach
- Availability for early morning starts, including 6:00am shifts
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Australian working rights
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport with Compressive car insurance
