We are seeking an experienced and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our busy food manufacturing team in Bibra Lake. The successful candidate will be hands-on, hardworking and take pride in maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs and production staff with food preparation
- Washing, peeling, chopping and preparing ingredients
- Operating commercial kitchen and food-processing equipment
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment, utensils and work areas
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Assisting with packing and general production duties when required
- Following recipes, procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
About you
- Previous experience as a kitchen hand in a commercial kitchen or food manufacturing workplace
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Reliable, punctual and physically fit
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Food manufacturing experience will be highly regarded
