About the role
n
We are seeking a School Nurse, Term time only (20 hours per week).
n
The School Nurse will support the College in managing the health and safety of students, and as required, staff and visitors. The successful applicant will be expected to work professionally and collaboratively within the College community, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement in a busy setting.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Providing nursing care and first aid to students, staff and visitors
n
- Monitoring students with identified and special health requirements
n
- Administering medications in accordance with College procedures
n
- Responding appropriately to medical emergencies and incidents
n
- Maintaining accurate and confidential student health records
n
- Undertaking administrative tasks associated with the operation of first aid
n
- Providing support at College events when required
n
- Upkeep and stock management of the first aid kits (onsite and for excursions and camps), medications and medical equipment
n

About you
n
n
- Current registration to practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification is essential
n
- Be able to receive feedback and implement changes
n
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
n
n
