Job Role: Finance Controller - Australia

Location: Unanderra, NSW, Australia

Responsibilities:

n

Reporting / Accounting:

n

n
- Manage month-end closing activities delivering a full trial balance, financial statements (Balance Sheet, income statement and cashflow)
n
- Ensure that month-end, quarterly and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time
n
- Analyse financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders through BI tools
n
- Provide financial data to support site management and controlling
n
- Validate provisions and accruals
n
- Responsible for monthly reporting in the Group tool (FCC Oracle)
n
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records: submission of all ancillary accounting obligations
n
- Responsible for local annual audit
n
- Manage Capex: accounting, definition of useful life & depreciation method in respect of accounting Standards
n
- Monitor Regulatory changes of accounting
n
- Previous experience of working with off shore Shared Service team is desirable
n

Tax:

n

n
- Responsible for statutory filings, Co-ordinate with tax consultants for tax filing and tax returns
n
- Working knowledge of tax is desired for monthly reporting
n

n

Cash management:

n

n




- Manage treasury activities and weekly cash flow forecast
n

n

Internal control:

n

n
- Ensure management procedures are put into practice, contributing to projects and driving implementation of current solutions in finance
n

n

Education, background, level of experience

n

The more common skills and attributes that are most required may include, but not be limited to:

n

n
- 5 - 8 years' experience in a leading finance position as a Senior Accountant with an experience in managing and developing a Finance / accountant team
n
- A bachelor's degree in accounting is the minimum requested but a profile who also has earned a master's degree in accounting / finance or certification such as certified public accountant (CPA)/ACCA or certified management accountant (CMA) are preferred
n
- Good knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
n
- High level of efficiency and accuracy.
n
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multi tasks / project and meet tight deadlines, is analytical and highly organized
n
- Work comfortably with Shared services and global teams
n
- Proficient in English is a must
n
- Proficient in financial software as SAP, FCC(Oracle) is desirable
