About Us

Brand's Pharmacy Services operates a network of private pharmacies across QLD, NSW, and WA, employing 130+ staff across community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, wholesale supply, and compounding/manufacturing.

Our Rockhampton pharmacy delivers pharmacy services to Mater Hospital Rockhampton — hospital inpatient care, specialised IVF and ophthalmology services, with some community pharmacy work alongside.

The Role

n

Ever wanted to try hospital pharmacy but never had the opening? This is it. We're looking for a Rockhampton-based pharmacist to join our team at Mater Hospital, working primarily in the hospital/clinical space — ward rounds, discharge counselling, drug information to nursing staff — with exposure to genuinely niche specialty work in IVF and ophthalmology.

This is a genuine part-time role: up to 24 guaranteed hours per week on an agreed weekly pattern, with additional shifts regularly available on top for those who want more (covering leave and peak periods). Not a locum placement — a real, ongoing local position with our team.

If you've spent your career in community pharmacy and want to see what hospital work is actually like — without relocating, without a locum contract — we'll train you into it.

What You'll Do

- Ward rounds and patient medication reviews
n
- Hospital discharge medication counselling and summaries
n
- Maintain imprest (ward stock) requirements
n
- Provide drug information to nursing and medical staff
n




- Specialised IVF medication supply and counselling (training provided)
n
- Ophthalmology prescriptions and patient education (training provided)
n
- Some community pharmacy dispensing and patient counselling as part of the broader role
n

What We Need

- Current AHPRA registration + professional indemnity insurance
n
- Based in Rockhampton or willing to be — this is a local, ongoing role
n
- Curiosity about hospital pharmacy, even without prior hospital experience

- Strong communication skills with hospital staff and patients
