Key responsibilities

- Programming, setup and operation of Sodick CNC Wire EDM machinery
n
- Manufacture of precision tooling and components to tight tolerances
n
- Programming from engineering drawings and technical specifications
n
- Proving programs and carrying out first-off inspections
n
- Precision measurement and quality inspection
n
- Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
n
- General toolmaking and precision machining
n
- Maintaining machinery, tooling and a protected work environment
n

About you

n

n
- Proven Wire EDM programming, setup and operating experience
n
- CNC machining experience within a toolroom or precision manufacturing environment
n
- Australian-recognised 1st Class Machinist / Toolmaker qualification
n
- CAM programming experience
n
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
n
- Experience with precision measuring equipment
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
n
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
n
