YOMG Glen Waverley is now seeking a Full Time Venue Manager!

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

- Availability to work 38 hours per week across a five-day roster.
n
- Flexibility to workdays, nights—including shifts ending around midnight—and weekends as required.
n
- Proven venue-management or senior leadership experience within hospitality or a quick-service restaurant environment.
n
- Experience managing both front and back of house operations.
n
- Demonstrated success in leading, developing and building large teams.
n
- Strong commercial knowledge, including sales, labour management, food costs, stock control and profitability.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety and operational compliance.
n
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training and performance management.
n
- A hands-on, self-motivated and solutions-focused leadership style.
n
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational abilities.

- The confidence to take ownership and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

About the role
n
As Venue Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and day-to-day operation.
You'll lead the venue's front and back of house management teams, creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring consistently high standards across food quality, customer service, safety, profitability and operational performance. This is a hands‐on leadership role requiring solid commercial awareness, excellent people‐management skills and the ability to confidently lead a busy quick‐service restaurant.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Manage the venue's daily front and back of house operations.
n
- Lead, support and develop the Kitchen Supervisors, Front of House Supervisors,and team members.
n
- Build and maintain a positive, energetic, accountable and customer-focused team culture.
n
- Recruit, onboard, train and retain a capable team in preparation for the store opening and ongoing operations.
n
- Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews and implement performance‐management procedures when required.
n
- Prepare and manage rosters in line with operational requirements, labour budgets and employment obligations.
n
- Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs, productivity, profitability and other key performance indicators.
n
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, preparation, presentation and customer service.
n
- Ensure the venue operates safely,
efficiently and profitably in accordance with YOMG's standards.
n
- Oversee inventory, ordering, stock control, stocktakes, FIFO rotation and waste‐management procedures.
n
- Implement effective operational controls to minimise waste, reduce losses and manage costs.
n
- Maintain high standards of venue cleanliness, presentation, equipment care and preventative maintenance.
n
- Ensure compliance with food‐safety, workplace health and safety, security, employment, licensing and company requirements.
n
- Oversee cash handling, banking, security procedures and loss‐prevention measures.
n
- Respond to and resolve customer feedback, complaints, staffing matters and operational issues professionally.
n
- Complete operational reports, audits, compliance records and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
n
- Implement company initiatives, promotions, procedures, training programs and system updates.
n
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, contractors, shopping‐centre management and YOMG Head Office.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, service, productivity, team performance and overall venue results.
n
- Support future business‐growth initiatives and contribute to YOMG's continued expansion.
n
