Field Services Technician - 12 Month Fixed Term Contact

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing installation, maintenance and repair of client equipment at site. Responsibilities include scheduled preventative maintenance and remedial maintenance on local/wide area networks. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

n

Interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders

n

Perform varied technical duties involving the use of a wide range of procedures and tools, which may include remedial and preventative maintenance of customer equipment and assets on fixed or mobile assets

n

Apply specialised technical knowledge to problem solve difficult or complex situations

n

May operate diagnostic systems to debug and isolate complex faults to component level

n

Resolve complex/critical failure situations

n

Attend faults and ensure the use of a logical approach to fault finding

n

Ensure all activities are performed safely and to a high standard

n

Ensure asset maintenance is reported in a timely and accurate manner

n

Ensure personal administration is completed in a timely manner, for example timesheets and vehicle checks

n

Perform physical installation of devices and infrastructure at customer sites according to engineering specifications and safety standards.

n

Ensure all cabling, mounting, and hardware setup is completed to required standards.

n

Report to supervisors or other responsible personnel any potential non-conformance or problems

n





Follow specific verbal/written instructions relating to work assignments

n

Be responsible for quality of work performed

n

Maintain service records or reports in accordance with Company procedures

n

Resolve verbal and written customer technical enquiries

n

Maximize productive output by efficient use of time and materials

n

Provide recent system installation and system upgrades

n

Suggest ways of improving methods and procedures to meet the quality policy objectives of the Company

n

Report all WHSE incidents, potential hazards, near misses and accidents

n

Ensure all work onsite is completed in accordance with Australian standards.

n

Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures

n

Comply with Human Resources Procedures

n

Other duties as requested

n

WH&S; general induction card

n

Drivers' license

n

Open Cablers License

n

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

n

Special Notes:

Vehicle and Tools are provided

n

Employment is fixed term

n

Will also consider contractor instead of fixed term employment

n

Condition of Employment:
