Sterling Company is looking for any tradesmen with fabrication, diesel mechanical or machinery fitting backgrounds with multi-combination licenses, wishing to escape a day-to-day grind with a varied work scope. Tradesmen have the opportunity to relieve full time heavy vehicle operators carting grain with Kenworth's, a diverse role can be discussed during the onboarding process or choose to be workshop based only also.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience with neat fabrication on light and heavy metals.
- Some experience with basic machining, light and heavy mechanical work, cranes and rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics and auto-electrics.
Tasks & responsibilities
- General steel, stainless and aluminum fabrication on equipment related to drilling, heavy vehicle and fixed plant.
- Mechanical and electrical system fabrication fit out on heavy vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Forklift, crane and rigging operations using mobile non slew crane possible.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring they look after the equipment and materials they are provided with to complete their tasks.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring they maintain a clean and organized work area as they progress through the task.
