Female Disability Support Worker –Stuart Town

Australian Community Home Care is seeking a female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to a participant with complex care needs in her home and community.

Due to the personal care nature of this role (including intimate support, showering, changing, and transfers), a female support worker is required to ensure the participant’s comfort, dignity, and cultural safety.

About the Role

You will be working as part of a 1:1 support model, providing dedicated in-home and community-based support for a participant and requiring high physical and medical support, including:

- Full personal care (toileting, changing, hygiene support)
- Assistance with daily routines and activities
- Light domestic duties (cleaning, tidying, laundry, meal preparation)
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver respectful, safe, and person-centred personal care
- Follow care plans, manual handling procedures, and health instructions




- Maintain clear communication with family and professionals
- Work effectively within a 1:1 support setting
- Ensure dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
- Support independence, choice, and quality of life

Essential Requirements

- Female applicant (genuine occupational requirement due to personal care needs)
- Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (or higher)
- Experience in high-care disability support (essential)
- Experience with manual handling, personal care, and complex needs
- Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
- Own reliable transport (mandatory)
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Check / NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- COVID-19 vaccination (including booster when eligible)
- Strong communication and reliability

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
