We are seeking motivated candidates interested in FIFO laboratory roles. Previous laboratory experience is highly regarded; however, we also encourage applications from individuals looking to develop a career in laboratory operations and mineral analysis.

About the role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality laboratory and sampling services to our clients. You will be responsible for sample collection, preparation, laboratory analysis and instrumentation activities while ensuring safety, quality and turnaround time requirements are consistently met.

These FIFO positions operate on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, with some sites requiring 12-hour day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with site, state and local requirements.

- Deliver high-quality services to clients in accordance with company policies, procedures and quality standards.

- Perform sample preparation activities, including crushing, pulverising and pressure filtration.

- Operate laboratory equipment, including LM2 pulverisers and automated analytical instruments.

- Weigh and prepare samples for analysis.

- Conduct analysis of processing and mining samples, ensuring turnaround times and quality requirements are consistently met.

- Prepare mineral samples for XRF analysis, including fluxing,



bead fusion and instrument loading.

- Perform gold analysis techniques, including fire assay, aqua regia digestion, cyanide leach, DIBK extraction and AAS analysis.

- Accurately perform all analyses within required turnaround times.

- Carry out routine maintenance and operational checks on laboratory equipment.

- Follow documented procedures to maintain quality accreditation requirements.

- Conduct housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance of sampling stations and laboratory work areas.

- Complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities and documentation.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

Highly Regarded Experience

- Experience with mineral sample preparation, including crushing, pulverising and pressure filtration.

- Experience preparing samples for XRF analysis, including fluxing and bead fusion techniques.

- Experience with gold analysis techniques, including fire assay, aqua regia digestion, cyanide leach, DIBK extraction and AAS.

- Previous mining, mineral processing or commercial laboratory experience.

- Previous sampling experience.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

- Previous laboratory, mineral processing or mining experience is desirable but not essential.

- Solid commitment to safety and quality standards.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.





- Ability to work effectively within a small team environment.

- Strong organisational and time management skills.

- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.

- Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.

- Willingness to work FIFO rosters, including day and night shifts.

- Current Australian driver's licence (highly regarded).

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.

- Full Australian working rights.
