Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Finance Manager to join our tight-knit West Perth team in a newly created role. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of a recently acquired business unit, with responsibility across financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, cash flow and cost control.
This hands-on role offers the opportunity to partner closely with operational leaders, strengthen financial processes and deliver commercial insights that support business performance and growth.
The role:
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare management and statutory accounts, annual budgets, and forecasts.
- Lead and oversee finance and accounts team members.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and funding requirements.
- Manage working capital, including inventory, debtors, and creditors.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, financial processes, and systems, including the ERP system.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost efficiencies and improve financial performance.
- Undertake cost, margin, and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis,
insights and recommendations to the CFO and broader leadership team.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar hands-on finance role.
- Strong financial and management accounting capability, including month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of working capital, cash flow, cost accounting, and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial information to support decision-making.
- Robust stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively partner with senior leaders and operational teams and lead and support finance team members.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working within a hands-on and evolving business environment.
- Experience within an operational, agribusiness, manufacturing, FMCG or other inventory-based environment would be advantageous.
