At Daniel’s Donuts, we take donuts seriously. Accounting? Also seriously. But that doesn’t mean we have to sound boring.

We’ve built a cult following for classics like Nutella, Fresh Jam & Cream, and plenty of other dangerously delicious creations. Now, we’re growing fast — expanding our manufacturing, retail and wholesale operations and gone national into the likes of big players such as 7-Eleven and Bunnings.

Behind all those donuts is a responsible business: high-volume manufacturing, a growing retail and wholesale network, private equity backing, and a founder-led team that knows the bakery business inside out.

We have also moved to a single ERP system — Odoo — and scaling what works. That means we need smart, capable people who enjoy getting stuck into the numbers, solving problems and helping build a high-performing team and culture.

That’s where you come in.

? The role

As our Financial Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller to keep the financial engine humming.

You’ll be across month-end, reconciliations, credit management, reporting, compliance, AR/AP and our shiny new Odoo environment.

In other words: you’ll make sure the numbers add up, the cash keeps moving and nothing gets left sitting in the financial equivalent of the oven too long.

You’ll work with people across AR/AP, our Philippines team, LK Tax and internal budget holders — so this is a role for someone who likes numbers and people.

? What you’ll be doing

Month-end & reconciliations

- Help prepare and review month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and intercompany entries.

- Own reconciliations for your assigned GL accounts and chase down anything that doesn’t quite smell right.

- Prepare balance sheet schedules and working papers for GFC review.





- Help pull together the group management accounts and provide useful variance explanations.

- Keep everything accurate, supported and audit-ready — because future-you will thank you.

? Credit management

You’ll be the guardian of our customer credit process.

- Assess credit applications and recommend appropriate credit limits.

- Review customer payment behaviour and credit risk.

- Maintain the customer credit register and keep limits up to date.

- Put credit holds in place when customers breach agreed terms.

- Escalate high-risk debtors, disputes and potential bad debts to the GFC with recommendations.

- Get the right approvals for higher-risk or higher-value credit decisions.

Basically, you’ll help make sure we’re selling plenty of donuts without giving away the bakery for free.

? Reporting & compliance

- Prepare BAS/GST reconciliations and work with the LK Group Tax team to meet lodgement deadlines.

- Assist with statutory accounts and external audit requirements.

- Prepare audit working papers and respond to queries promptly.

- Support PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and other compliance reporting as required.

? AR & AP oversight

- Support the GFC with cash flow forecasting and day-to-day AR/AP activities.

- Keep an eye on the AR ageing and follow up overdue customers.

- Help manage claims and escalate unresolved issues.

- Oversee AP processing to make sure invoices are approved, coded correctly and paid on time.

- Support the Payroll Manager with payroll payments.

- Perform regular AR and AP reconciliations back to the GL.

? Odoo & data integrity





We have moved to new ERP - Odoo, and we want our financial data to be as clean as a freshly glazed donut.

You’ll

- Process accounting transactions accurately in Odoo.

- Help maintain a clean, reliable general ledger.

- Spot data-quality issues and raise them before they become bigger problems.

- Support system clean-up and data integrity initiatives.

? What you’ll bring

You’ll be someone who

- Has 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting or related roles.

- Has hands-on experience supporting month-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting.

- Holds a CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification, or is currently working towards one.

- Knows their way around month-end accounting and reconciliations.

- Understands credit management and likes keeping risk under control.

- Has experience with GST/BAS and financial compliance.

- Can confidently oversee AR/AP processes.

- Is comfortable working with ERP systems — Odoo experience is a bonus.

- Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in getting the numbers right.

- Can spot when something doesn't look right and isn't afraid to ask questions.

- Can work collaboratively across different teams and locations.

- Likes a fast-moving environment where things are growing, changing and occasionally getting a little messy.
