Photoshop & Colour Correction Specialist - Fine Art Printing

Cie-Elle Digital Imaging is a small, specialised digital imaging and fine art printing studio working with artists, photographers, designers, galleries and collectors across Australia.

We produce high-quality artwork reproductions and fine art prints using skilled digital imaging, colour managed workflows and state-of-the-art scanning and print technology.

We are looking for a Digital Photoshop Specialist to join our team.

The Role
This is a specialist role focused on advanced Photoshop, colour correction, digital file preparation and prepress for high-end artwork and photographic printing.

A major part of the role will be colour correction and image preparation, ensuring digital files accurately represent the original artwork or intended finished print.

You will work with a wide variety of artwork and photographic files, preparing and optimising them for accurate, high-quality reproduction.

This is an onsite role based in Ermington, starting at 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) . Hours can be negotiated to suit the right person, including the possibility of school-hours availability. There is potential for the role to grow into additional days and more regular hours over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Colour correction and image optimisation for high-quality reproduction
- Advanced Photoshop work including masking, retouching and image adjustments
- Prepare and optimise artwork and photographic files for print
- Prepare files to exact print sizes and specifications
- Manage digital files and prepress workflows
- Assess images for colour, tone, contrast, sharpness and overall quality
- Work within colour-managed digital imaging workflows




- Check files for accuracy and consistency before production
- Maintain accurate job information and production records
- Work closely with the team to meet deadlines and maintain our high standard of quality

About You

We're looking for a positive, motivated person with a can-do attitude who takes pride in their work. You’ll be highly competent in Photoshop, confident with colour correction, technically minded and extremely detail-oriented. You’ll enjoy solving problems, learning new skills and working as part of a small team where quality really matters.

Essential

- Advanced/expert Photoshop skills
- Strong colour correction and image adjustment skills
- Strong understanding of digital file preparation
- Experience with masking and retouching
- Excellent eye for colour, tone and detail
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines

Desirable - but not essential

- Experience in digital printing or prepress
- Knowledge of colour management and ICC profiles
- Experience preparing artwork or photographic files for print
- Knowledge of fine art printing
- Experience working with artwork reproduction

If you have strong Photoshop and colour correction skills but limited printing experience, we are happy to provide training to the right person.
