At Daniel's Donuts, we take donuts seriously. Accounting? Also seriously. But that doesn't mean we have to sound boring.

We've built a cult following for classics like Nutella, Fresh Jam & Cream, and plenty of other dangerously delicious creations. Now, we're growing fast — expanding our manufacturing, retail and wholesale operations and gone national into the likes of big players such as 7-Eleven and Bunnings.

Behind all those donuts is a serious business: high-volume manufacturing, a growing retail and wholesale network, private equity backing, and a founder-led team that knows the bakery business inside out.

We have also moved to a single ERP system — Odoo— and scaling what works. That means we need smart, capable people who enjoy getting stuck into the numbers, solving problems and helping build a high-performing team and culture.

That's where you come in.

n

The role

n

As our Financial Accountant, you'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller to keep the financial engine humming.

n

You'll be across month-end, reconciliations, credit management, reporting, compliance, AR/AP and our shiny new Odoo environment.

n

In other words: you'll make sure the numbers add up, the cash keeps moving and nothing gets left sitting in the financial equivalent of the oven too long.

n

You'll work with people across AR/AP, our Philippines team, LK Tax and internal budget holders — so this is a role for someone who likes numbers and people.

n

Month-end & reconciliations

n

Help prepare and review month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and intercompany entries.

n

Own reconciliations for your assigned GL accounts and chase down anything that doesn't quite smell right.

n

Prepare balance sheet schedules and working papers for GFC review.

n





Help pull together the group management accounts and provide useful variance explanations.

n

Keep everything accurate, supported and audit-ready — because future-you will thank you.

n

You'll be the guardian of our customer credit process.

n

Assess credit applications and recommend appropriate credit limits.

n

Review customer payment behaviour and credit risk.

n

Maintain the customer credit register and keep limits up to date.

n

Put credit holds in place when customers breach agreed terms.

n

Escalate high‐risk debtors, disputes and potential bad debts to the GFC with recommendations.

n

Get the right approvals for higher‐risk or higher‐value credit decisions.

n

Basically, you'll help make sure we're selling plenty of donuts without giving away the bakery for free.

n

Prepare BAS/GST reconciliations and work with the LK Group Tax team to meet lodgement deadlines.

n

Assist with statutory accounts and external audit requirements.

n

Prepare audit working papers and respond to queries promptly.

n

Support PAYG, FBT, payroll tax, WorkCover and other compliance reporting as required.

n

Support the GFC with cash flow forecasting and day-to-day AR/AP activities.

n

Keep an eye on the AR ageing and follow up overdue customers.

n

Help manage claims and escal ...

Oversee AP processing to make sure invoices are approved, coded correctly and paid on time.

n

Support the Payroll Manager with payroll payments.

n

Perform regular AR and AP reconciliations back to the GL.

n

We have moved to new ERP - Odoo,



and we want our financial data to be as clean as a freshly glazed donut.

n

You'll:

n

Process accounting transactions accurately in Odoo.

n

Help maintain a clean, reliable general ledger.

n

Spot data‐quality issues and raise them before they become bigger problems.

n

Support system clean‐up and data integrity initiatives.

n

You'll be someone who:

n

Has 5+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting or related roles.

n

Has hands‐on experience supporting month‐end close processes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting.

n

Holds a CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification, or is currently working towards one.

n

Knows their way around month‐end accounting and reconciliations.

n

Understands credit management and likes keeping risk under control.

n

Has experience with GST/BAS and financial compliance.

n

Can confidently oversee AR/AP processes.

n

Is comfortable working with ERP systems — Odoo experience is a bonus.

n

Has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in getting the numbers right.

n

Can spot when something doesn't look right and isn't afraid to ask questions.

n

Can work collaboratively across different teams and locations.

n

Likes a rapid‐moving environment where things are growing, changing and occasionally getting a little messy.

n
