Role Description The Food Technology Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Brisbane Area. This role oversees the development, testing, upscale and optimisation of recent and existing food products, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing R&D; projects, coordinating product trials, analysing production data, and collaborating with operations, quality assurance, and procurement teams to improve processes and formulations.

The Food Technology

Manager will also implement and maintain technology solutions within the food production environment, lead cross-functional project teams,



and support continuous improvement initiatives in product development and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, optimise formulations, and improve production processes.
- Competence in information technology and familiarity with relevant software tools used in food manufacturing and R&D; environments.
- Demonstrated project management abilities to plan, execute, and monitor product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Proven team leadership skills, including the ability to guide cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience working with or overseeing software development or integration projects related to production, quality, or R&D; systems is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality systems (e.g., BRCGS/HACCP), and industry standards.
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
