Sitzler Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to join our South Australian team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in civil construction, concrete pavements, and structural works who can effectively coordinate site activities, lead crews, and deliver high-quality project outcomes safely and efficiently.

Main Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the successful completion of the project within budget, time and quality requirements, including appropriate site supervision, administration and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to the following:

 Ensure WHS is maintained at all times

 Supervise site based projects including monitoring of subcontractor procurement in accordance with the projects schedule

 Identification of potential practical cost saving design solutions for review with Site Manager

 Check designs and details on plans, any ambiguity to be followed up and resolved with Site Manager

 Monitor and manage project deliverables in accordance with the project schedule and liaise with Site Manager

 Keep records relating to and maintain contact and communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities

 Assist and provide input with project staff in the assessment and selection of subcontractors relative to the market

 Coordinate subcontractor planning to ensure adherence to project objectives

 Material procurement in accordance with the projects purchasing procedure and limits of authority

 Assess plant and labour resource requirements for the project and communicate recommendations to Site Manager

 Manage and verify site set out and survey, including the establishment of adequate controls and recovery datum





 Develop processes for deficient areas as work progresses

 Provide leadership and direction to site personnel ensuring project team works efficiently and effectively, with team members covering roles in other jobs when necessary

 Foster, lead and promote good project culture presenting a collaborative environment of high morale

 Supervise project staff and subcontractors

 Ensure site offices, amenities and storage buildings are maintained in a clean and tidy condition

 Ensure that all company policies and practices are implemented as written

 In undertaking your role you must maintain the ability to access the project work site either permanently or at intervals required by the project as mandated by the Director’s

 Promote the company’s image at all times

 To stay abreast of Corporate, Legislative and Statutory requirements applicable to your role

Head Contracts Administration

 Identify and record any current or potential risk pertaining to programme or scope and communicate with your Site Manager for assessment

 As required, provide assistance to your Site Manager for the assessment of Head Contract claims for variations, delays and other contractual claims

Subcontract Administration

 Assist the Site Manager in the evaluation of all subcontractors claims for payment, variations, delays and other contractual claims

Project Procedures and Administrative Staff





 Ensure the effective implementation and administration of project procedures for correspondence, filing information distributions etc. is maintained

 Manage and assist project staff where required

 Maintain and monitor drawings and drawing register and ensure drawings used onsite are kept in positive condition

General

 Demonstrates commitment and compliance to all SEQ Responsibilities for the business operations as relevant to their role

 Your responsibilities will include any other tasks which you are directed to undertake

Correspondence

 All company correspondence is considered commercial in confidence and as such matters of a sensitive nature or involving cost or time implication should be discussed with your Direct Line Manager in accordance with Corporate and Project Organisation Charts

Qualifications

Minimum level of knowledge/skills/training required to carry out the job:

 Nationally Recognised Construction Induction

 Recognised relevant qualification or minimum of 10 years site experience in the construction or civil industry

Leading Hand for 2 years

Trade or civil background

Or other relevant qualification

Or other relevant industry experience

 Understanding of construction or civil materials and methods

 Project programming experience

 Supervision, site management and planning experience

 WHS for Supervisors

 Drivers Licence

 First Aid

 Fire Warden & Extinguisher Training

 Working at Heights

 Elevated Work Platform High Risk Work Licence

Work Experience

Considered necessary to do the job effectively:

 Minimum of 10 years site experience in the construction or civil industry

Or other relevant experience
