Fresh Produce Assistant – Permanent Part-Time

Miss Spelt’s Organics is looking for an experienced Fresh Produce Assistant to join our team in Healesville.

If you’re a fresh produce superstar who knows how to prep, handle and present fruit and vegetables to a high standard, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 3–4 days per week, with roster options generally being Monday to Wednesday or Monday to Thursday. The role requires 7:00am starts.

The position will be classified under the General Retail Industry Award, with the appropriate level and rate determined by the successful applicant’s experience, skills and responsibilities.

About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Previous hands-on experience working with fresh fruit and vegetables is essential
- Experience working in the fresh produce department of a supermarket, grocer or similar food retailer
- Confidence preparing, handling, rotating and presenting fresh produce
- Ability to work early starts from 7:00am and maintain excellent punctuality and reliability
- Recent retail experience, preferably within a grocery, fresh food or health food environment
- Knowledge of, or a genuine interest in, organic produce would be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, store cleanliness and workplace safety
- High standards of personal presentation and hygiene




- A good eye for product quality, presentation and merchandising
